AEP Ohio Plans Malvern to Minerva Transmission Line Project

Commissioner Wirkner advised the Board received notification from AEP Ohio that they plan to rebuild a transmission line between Malvern and Minerva. The project includes updating about 6 miles of transmission line in Brown Township. About 5 miles of the line will be rebuilt in AEP Ohio’s existing right-of-way corridor; however, in some cases, easements may need to be supplemented and the remaining mile will require construction in new areas. AEP Ohio anticipates completion of this project in early 2019. A copy of the letter is on file in the Commissioners’ Office.
