The Title Department, under the direction of William R. Wohlwend, Clerk of Courts, is responsible for issuing automobile titles, watercraft titles, and mobile home titles. The Title Department is also responsible for daily operational tasks such as filing, recordkeeping and banking.

The Carroll County Clerk of Courts Title Dept – located at 119 South Lisbon Street, Courthouse Ste. 401, Carrollton OH 44615 will be open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 P.M via phone;
Effective March 26, 2020 – PUBLIC ACCESS will be as follows: Monday & Friday 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Wednesday & Thursday 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC ACCESS ON TUESDAYS – HOWEVER WE WILL BE OPEN TO TAKE YOUR PHONE CALLS;
Dealer title work can be submitted electronically, dropped off at the security desk or dropped off at the Title Dept during the days and hours of public access (mentioned above) and picked up at a later time. For the public, customers are to call the office before coming in – so all information on the title can be filled out correctly BEFORE coming to the office – then you can drop the title off at the door and sit in the hallway while we process your title. Payment must be in the form or cash or check!
