Animal Control
We respond to stray dog calls, enforce dog control laws, and ensure public safety regarding domestic dogs in Carroll County.
Dog Licensing
All dogs over three months old must be licensed annually. Licenses can be obtained at our facility or through the County Auditor's office.
Animal Care
We provide shelter and care for stray, abandoned, and surrendered dogs while they await adoption or reclaim by their owners.
Lost & Found
If you've lost or found a dog, contact us immediately. We maintain records of all dogs brought to our facility.
Dog Licensing Requirements
Ohio law requires all dogs over three months old to be licensed annually.
Licenses are valid from January 1 through December 31 each year and must be renewed every year or every three years. Lifetime licenses can also be purchased. To obtain a license, proof of current rabies vaccination is required.
Licenses can be purchased at the Carroll County Dog Pound or the County Auditor's office.
Adoption Information
We have dogs available for adoption. Visit our facility during business hours to meet our adoptable dogs. All adopted dogs are not spayed/neutered and are given a 5-way vaccination.
Adoption fees help cover the cost of care and vaccinations. Our staff can help you find the right companion for your family.
