Ohio Revised Code Sections 313
The coroner, his deputy, and assistants shall be available at all times for the performance of their duties, maintain the coroner’s office, laboratory and county morgue. The coroner shall investigate and determine the cause of death that has taken place in his jurisdiction, keep a complete record of the cause of death on the death certificate, in all cases.
